Pros:
It is directly off I-81 in Salem, Virgina and 15 mins away from Roanake Virgina. It is full hookups for $38.18 a night including tax. Great for an over night stay but not much else. I would not recommend it for anything longer. The lady managing the campground was very nice and very sweet. There are some long term residences who are also very friendly. The turn over here is high, so if you are passing thru call in advance to reserve a site.
The hookups were all centralized in the same place. The hookups were very important because the bath/shower house were filthy. (See photos in the Con section.)

Cons:
I hate to be this way but… This was my least favorite place we have stayed and that includes the Walmart parking lot. The Pro of it being right off I-81 is also a BIG con.. all night long I was woken up by the sound of Semi Truck jack brakes as they exited I-81. I must also mention the drunk permanent resident who wandered around the campground sticking his head into people vehicles. He did this to our truck while my daughters were IN IT. Pretty sure he was looking to steal things. The girls scared him off. Please keep your doors LOCKED.
The sites were very close.

Our neighbors awning was almost touching our slide.

They could have used our camper for a back rest at their picnic table.

The bath / shower house was less than mediocre. The layout was not private at all. It basically had 3 showers on a wall with curtains. You would need to dress out in the open.

The room was picked up but the showers were filthy. We did not use them.

Interesting facts:
They offer a discount for an on property Cavern Tour. (We did not try this.)
They have an antique / gift shop on property. I was able to find some vintage JFK magazines were reasonable.
