Pros:
Prime location! Minutes to downtown Damascus. The creek was wonderful, We sleep both nights with the windows open because the sound of the creek was so relaxing!! It was nice and clean. A dumpster was there for trash. We did park in the overflow parking some because they were adding 4 new sites. If we had parked our truck in the site we would have had no outside space left. I will not hold this against the park because they are expanding and improving.
Cons:
The sites are tight. In order to leave we had to ask the guy next to us to leave. We actually liked the site setup… I mention it under the con because I know others may not. There were class A’s and fifth wheels there but I would not call this park .. Big Rig Friendly.
The space on the door side was just wide enough for our awning. The picnic table in this picture is ours and it was over in the landscape timber that served as the end of the campsite.
Interesting facts:
A 5 min drive to Sundog Outfitters / Adventure Damascus if doing the Virginia Creeper Trail and downtown Damascus.
We made our reservations over the phone with Pat. He was very nice and even helped us find our direction to the campground.
