Pros:
It is surrounded by Percy Priest Lake. Water views from all but a handful of sites. It was easy to locate, about 1 mile of I-40 on the East side of Nashville. The staff is friendly and extremely helpful. We arrived late and our check-in packet was left outside for us.
The shower house has a coded entry and shower rooms. Each room has a shower, sink and toilet. There was a men’s side and a women’s. Each had 2 shower room one handicapped and one standard. They are kept extremely clean.
The views are AMAZING!! Our sites were great. At A9 which we stayed at the last 2 nights we were on the very end of the peninsula, which was a great spot. While it did not bother us, I want to note this is the entrance to the marina and the end of the “no wake zone” so if the boats accelerating noise would bother you I would not book this site.

Cons:
- It was expensive but honestly compared to a hotel in the area it was on par.
- Another issue was water pressure. Our first site was A2 and we had a problem getting the water to come on. We called and they immediately came, but hubby and figured out the previous camper had over tightened the value. After loosening the valve, water did come on. When we moved to site A9 the pressure was extremely low, but improved after we removed our pressure regulator. The mornings the water would almost go to a trickle, late in the evening after midnight pressure was great. We assumed this was due to our site being at the end of the peninsula and the pressure was just cut way down before making it to us by the site before us.
- Also on check out day.. we could not find the dumpster to get rid of our trash.
Interesting facts:
The location makes it ideal for travel into Nashville. There is a grocery store (Food Lion) just off exit 219 before you arrive at the campground. Also in front of the Food Lion is a gas station with Diesel and they sale bundles of fire wood.
