First Aid Kits – MUST HAVES
After purchasing a camper comes that long list of must haves. These come in 2 list honestly.. Inside list and outside list. Of all the suggestions we received for both list no one suggested a first aid kit. It dawned on us the first time we needed it and of course did not have one. So…
This months camping hack is really more of a tip. GET a first aid kit and a good one. We actually have 2 now. A small 100pc with simple things like band aids and Neosporin. Then a large 326 pc set with everything but crutches and splints. They are very inexpensive to purchase. Far cheaper to just buy an already assembled kit and then replenish as you use it. Our big one cost $35 and the small was only $9 on Amazon.
The small kit has came in handy during small episodes like being out on a bike ride and I cut my finger. I used the alcohol wipes, Neo and band to clean it up. It is small and fits in my backpack.
The Big kit has everything someone could possibly need. It came in very handy this weekend when Hannah was accidentally hit in the face with a storage door and need a butterfly closure on a cut. We were able to treat her and not have to run to the ER. This wasn’t our first use of the kit. My family is always hurting something, we have used the sunscreen, burn cream, eye flush.
When you’re out camping and could possibly be hours away from treatment or a store. It is important to be prepared. Noone wants to stop a vacation to run into town for band aids for burn cream. A cut finger could turn in to a major crisis if not properly cared for initially. Even if you have not started camping. These are great for the home and car… So do yourself a favor and order these kits. I promise you for peace of mind and ease when needed it will be the best $44 you will ever spend.
